Deborah Davis - Alumni of the Quarter
3rd Quarter 2011
After I was born again, I was baptized in 1960 by the Rev. Samuel F. Rabun of New Northside Baptist Church. It was a small church located on a side street in north St. Louis, Missouri. The basement flooded during the rainy season, but it was a “fun” church. Everyone knew everyone. My whole family and all my friends were there. Before I left to go to college, Rev. Willie J. Ellis, Jr. became my pastor. I taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, sang in the choir, attended Baptist Conventions, revivals, etc...

In the spring of 1965 I was saved by the grace of God at Bridgeton Bible
Church. I attended night classes at Brookes Bible Institute and became a full time student in January of
1968. During my time as a full time student, I had many opportunities to preach the Word at various
churches. In 1970, I accepted a position as pastor at Kimmswick Bible Church. While serving there, I
graduated from Brookes Bible Institute in May of 1972.

Janet L. Wilkinson - Alumni of the Quarter
4th Quarter 2010
I came to know the Lord as my personal Savior at about nine years of age while
attending a Vacation Bible School. All through my growing-up years I knew the Lord was with me. His love for me and
His guidance were real. I praise Him for teachers who faithfully taught me the Word of God and led me to Christ.
In 1961, I yielded my life to the Lord at a Missionary conference at my church. In 1962, I enrolled at Brookes Bible
Institute for systematic Bible Study. In 1963, I began serving the Lord at Open Door Missionary Fellowship while
attending school.

Dr. Jim McIntosh - Alumni of the Quarter
3rd Quarter 2010
Born January 1944. Trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior in the summer of
1950. Was baptized in the summer of 1953. Spiritual growth was intermittent as the church my parents were attending
at that time did not believe children could be saved, thus I had little or no regular spiritual disciplining until
later in life.
My wife and I attended the Child Evangelism Fellowship leadership training in Muskegon,
MI in 1974. This was a concentrated three-month session living on campus. After this I worked as a C.E.F. director
for three years training teachers and working in camp. I was privileged to be on the ground floor workings of helping
to establish the church related ministries for C.E. F. originating in Minnesota.

Marty Zide - Alumni of the Quarter
2nd Quarter 2010
I was born and raised in St. Louis in a Reformed Jewish home. On April 1, 1971, I went
to the mailbox and to my surprise received some papers from Uncle Sam, stating that I needed to report April 2 for
active duty in the Army Reserves. Of course, I thought it was an April Fool's joke, but it wasn't. The next day,
I headed to Fort Knox, Kentucky. My active duty would end July 31, 1971.
Two of my best friends (one Jewish and one Gentile) and I had already agreed that when
I got out of the army on July 31, we would move to Columbia, Missouri, to attend a university. That very same summer
while I was in the Army, my two best friends went to California and while they were there, they met some people who
were followers of the Messiah Jesus.

Andy Chulka - Alumni of the Quarter
1st Quarter 2010
I was born in Litchfield, IL on March 31, 1975 to Bruce and Mindy Chulka.
We lived in Staunton, IL until I was about three years old when my Dad sensed the Lord
calling him into full time ministry. We moved to Kansas City, MO where he attended
Calvary Bible College.
It was during our time in Kansas City when I really started understanding my need to
be saved from my sins. My Mom talked to me about Jesus Christ and what He did for
sinners and I remember being really concerned about my sin and hell. While my Dad
was driving me to school one day, I asked him what I needed to do to be saved from
my sins and avoid hell. I remember he pulled the car over and led me to the Lord.
